No, and it's sunny and in the mid 40s for the high so what we do have is melting. There's barely even a dusting of snow on the ground. This is Minnesota people...last year at this time we had three feet of snow on the ground!

Another One Bites The Dust

One of the few songs I learned to play on my flute that wasn't required music for school. :)

I was volunteering at the zoo today, so I was conveniently where I would want to spend my last day on Earth. Plus I got to high-five The Cat in The Hat, so really life is now complete.

Oh, and a sampling of what happens when Dr. Seuss is on the loose...

I suppose the most notable collection is my model horses as they take up the most space and are more of a hobby than simple collection. My biggest involvement has been in model horse pedigree assignment, researching pedigrees to find hypothetical parents for each model. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to genotypes/phenotypes and other genetics related stuff so I really enjoy that. I also dabbled in model horse customization, photo shows, and making in scale tack & other props. So proud of my 1/12 scale western saddle! :)

I have a ton of Minnesota Zoo related stuff. Everything from those elongated pressed pennies to a retractable tape measure with the zoo's name on the side of the case. Still bummed I wasn't able to snag that golfball with the zoo's logo on it from eBay several years ago. My favorite piece is an old "Master Plan" booklet for future phases to be built at the zoo back when it first opened in the 1970s. Very interesting to see maps of what they intending on adding that never happened. Like that musk ox exhibit seemingly in the middle of nowhere? Initially that was to be the start of a tundra/arctic trail that just never came to fruition.

I also have a vast collection of *NSYNC memorabilia that I refuse to part with. Marionettes, bobbleheads, afghan blankets, necklaces, videos games, and everything in between. I actually really want to catalog and photograph everything to post online or something. I bet by collaborating with other fans we could build an entire online index of all *NSYNC merchandise ever released.

Super Mario on Nintendo when I was like 8 years old. Still one of my all times favorite games. I've mastered it to the point where I can finish the game in about a hour.

And then we always had Oregon Trail day in Elementary School. Good times! XD

lol well, considering I also live in Minnesota...

Anything above 32 degrees is not cold to me. That range between 0 and 32 depends on other factors like wind or if it's sunny. Double digits below zero is usually considered cold? 20 below with a nasty windchill is generally not all that fun. Even those days I still look forward to because it means amusing myself by chucking pots of boiling water out the window. My rule of thumb is if my nose instantaneously goes numb the second I step outside it's probably a little cold out, lol.

On the flip side, I always thought I couldn't handle anything above 90 degrees, but I remember working outside last summer thinking it didn't feel that hot and the heat index was right around 100 degrees. It wasn't tropically humid out so that's the deciding factor.

I was born year of the rat, wood rat specifically. I love rodents, so out of the various animals to choose from in the Chinese Zodiac that would definitely be the one I'd pick. The rat traits are also most similar to that of a Sagittarius, and being that I was born on the cusp of Capricorn/Sagittarius I figure that links the two types of astrology pretty well.

My actual spirit animal is the crow, though...
